How and when do I make my monthly Klix loan payments?

Information on how to repay your loan is set out in the agreement sent to your email address on signing.

You can also find the loan schedule and the loan repayment account details on the bank’s web page My applications.

The agreement and loan portal indicates the following information:

  • the monthly payment amount and deadline;
  • the date of the first payment;
  • the final payment date;
  • the loan repayment account details.

How do I repay the loan before term?

To repay the Klix loan before term, you need to check your loan balance as of today on the bank's web page "My Applications". In the "Total amount of repayment as of today" field, you will see the loan balance with the accrued interest for today (if applicable). Transfer the required amount to your loan payment account.

If the required amount is available on the loan repayment account by 22:00 at the latest, the Klix loan agreement will be automatically closed in the bank's system and you will also receive a corresponding SMS notification the following day. In addition, you can check that your contract has been terminated from the bank's web page "My Applications". Closed contracts are no longer displayed there.

What is Klix Free 3/6/12?

The digit after Klix Free corresponds to the number of months as stated in the loan agreement for which you are able to repay the loan without paying interest or commission fees. If you would like to pay the Klix loan without any additional fees, you can calculate the needed monthly payment by dividing the total cost of the purchase (initial loan amount) by the respective Klix Free digit: 3, 6 or 12. You can also find the indicative repayment schedule for repaying your loan interest free at the end of your loan agreement. Buyers can also pay a different amount no smaller than the set monthly fee to still repay within the interest-free period.

To repay your Klix loan without any additional fees, the full loan amount must be on your loan repayment account before the date on which the interest calculation starts. You can find the start date of the interest calculation date in your loan agreement, which was sent to your e-mail address after signing the agreement or by checking the last monthly payment date when interest is not applied in your loan repayment schedule on the Citadele web page "My applications".

Klix Free 3 example:
The loan amount is 300 EUR. When the loan is repaid in full within three months of taking out the loan, the loan interest rate is 0%, the APR is 0%, and the total amount to be repaid is 300 EUR.

Can I partially repay the loan before term?

In order to partially repay the loan before term, you must:

  • submit a signed application;
  • transfer the amount stated in the application into the loan repayment account.

You can submit the order:

  • in person at a Citadele branch;
  • through the Citadele online bank;
  • by email at info@citadele.ee (in this case, you must sign the application with a secure electronic signature).

Submitting the order through the online bank

After logging in to the online bank, go to "Lending and Leasing", select the loan to be repaid, select "Apply for loan amendments", then fill in the necessary fields.

Submitting the order by email

  • Prepare the application, indicating your name, surname, personal code, loan agreement number and the purpose of the application.
  • Sign the application digitally and email it to info@citadele.ee.

What do I do if there is an overpayment in my loan repayment account?

Sometimes, after repaying a loan, there is an excess of funds in your loan repayment account. If you transfer more money into your loan repayment account than is needed to cover your loan, you should apply for the repayment of the overpayment amount.

You can fill in and submit the application:

  • in person at a Citadele branch;
  • through the Citadele online bank;
  • by email at info@citadele.ee (in this case, you must sign the application with a secure electronic signature).

Submitting the application through the online bank:

  • After logging in to the online bank, go to "Correspondence with Bank".
  • Choose the "Free form Order to the bank" and prepare the application, indicating your loan agreement number and the purpose of the application.
  • Please be aware that the funds will be repaid to the account from which the last loan repayment came from. If you would like to receive the overpayment amount to some other account, please also indicate this account IBAN. The account must belong to the borrower.

Submitting the application by email:

  • Prepare the application, indicating your name, surname, personal code, loan agreement number and the purpose of the application.
  • Please be aware that the funds will be repaid to the account from which the last loan repayment came from. If you would like to receive the overpayment amount to some other account, please also indicate this account IBAN. The account must belong to the borrower.
