What is an instant payment?

An instant payment is a EUR money transfer to an instant payment bank 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays, which is made in a few seconds, giving the recipient immediate access to the money. Instant payments can only be made to those European Union banks which have joined the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer system if the recipient bank is part of the EBA Clearing system.

The same commission fee as for SEPA payments applies to instant payments, thus offering clients a high-level payment processing service.
