How do I check whether sanctions apply to a business partner?

To check whether sanctions apply to a business partner, enter their company name or name and surname into the official sanction search tools:

EU/UN sanction list: https://www.sanctionsmap.eu/
U.S. OFAC sanction list: https://sanctionssearch.ofac.treas.gov/
Latvia’s sanction list: https://sankcijas.fid.gov.lv/

To fully check for sanctions, you must also check the owners, beneficial owners, board members and other persons in direct or indirect control, or those who may have at least 50% ownership of legal entities.
